Tree Canopy Climbing on Lopez Island

Overview
Come experience the only old-growth tree climbing activity in the State of Washington and create some unforgettable memories. This is your chance to do something not even .1% of the population has done, but now you can. In small-groups climb together on 1-4 trees between 100 and 200 feet high, depending on your athletic level. Some of the trees are even rare old-growth trees. See the unique perspective above the canopy and feel what it's like to be eye level with an eagle as you climb/swing around like a monkey through the open air and catch branches, while safely harnessed by rope. Climb your way up some of the tallest trees in the world to amazing views of the upper canopy, mountains, and ocean. Connect to nature like you have never done before, beyond the trail.

During this activity you will explore the special ecology of old-growth trees and its importance in our environment and so much more.

Groups larger than 6 people, please contact us directly.

I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it. I was very nervous to begin with and had an issue with not being able to bend my knee all the way and our 2 guides (Zack and Matt) were great about adjusting things to help me out. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything well and made us feel safe and comfortable. The views from the top were great and my friends and I had a lot of fun. It was definitely a workout.

We had such a GREAT time with Leo, Zack and Dominic. Great guys, great guides and a lot of fun and encouragement. I was never rushed and even though my husband climbed it twice compared to my one time it was amazing. They take every safety precaution and check with you all the way up and down to ensure you are feeling ok and comfortable. They stay with you the whole way up and down. It is a challenge but the views are spectacular. This is a MUST DO! It’s like nothing we had ever done. This was definitely an accomplishment. The guys are very professional and knowledgeable and super friendly!!!! Thanks guys very much!!!!

My husband and I decided to add this to our list to do when we visited Seattle and we are so glad we did! Leo was so helpful and since it was just us two, we were so comfortable and it was so much fun! There isn't any special training you would need beforehand and you just have to use some leg strength, which wasn't difficult at all. The view is so worth it and it's just an overall wonderful experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a different type of adventure!
