With over 300 years of history, Tribeca combines historical landmarks and brave architectural feats into one fascinating neighborhood. Tribeca has a distinct personality all on its own, so we decided to honor it with its own tour. And trust us, no architecture knowledge is needed to enjoy this tour. If you enjoy beautiful buildings, amazing history and hearing incredible stories about how a farmland turned into one of New York City's most famous neighborhoods, and the wealthiest zip code in the United States, this tour is for you! During our 2 1/2 hours together, we will visit over 15 locations, stopping for pictures and learning about how Tribeca got its name, how the neighborhood played a huge part in the formation of Manhattan, and seeing some of the most hidden, or easily missed, historical sights in the neighborhood!

GhostBusters Firehouse Company 8

One of the most famous stops on our TriBeCa Architecture and History Tour is the GhostBusters Firehouse. You will learn how this firehouse is SO much more than just a movie prop!

I grew up in NYC & even lived in TriBeCa for a bit, but wasn’t aware of any of its most compelling history presented by the incredibly charismatic, engaging, & encyclopedic wealth of information that is Meghan Sara. Her energy, passion, & depth of knowledge for the subject matter permeated the tour group & what could have been a more conventional, presentational history lesson was instead a riveting & highly engaging dialogue led by Meghan that had the lot of us ecstatically geeking out for 2 hours on the hottest of NY days.

Did a getaway weekend with my husband and heard about this tour. I’m a history nerd, my husband is not. We both loved the tour and really felt like we got an intimate look into Tribeca! Tour guide was awesome - but funny and informative. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great way to get to know part of NYC!

Went to NYC for quick 3Girls weekend to celebrate my 70th birthday. Stayed in financial district & found this tour on trip advisor. Took a chance and were we surprised!! Easy walk , learned tons of things we never knew about the buildings, got great tips about restaurants & eateries along the way and were entertained by our charming young tour guide. Only regret is leaving and can’t take the other Metro tours. Definitely recommend this one.
