My girlfriend and I were visiting Lancaster and took this tour with Phil. We loved every part of it. The walk around downtown was fast but informative. We loved the market and seeing the Marriott dig. Then we jumped in the van and got an education on Amish life. Phil answered all of our questions, even the dumb ones, very patiently. We enjoyed our ride through the country, meeting the Amish family and the ice cream. Interacting with the children and the animals was a truly fun experience. We highly recommend this tour. Phil did an amazing job and we loved every minute of our time with him.

Our 1st trip to Lancaster and this tour was awesome. Phil, the tour guide/owner was great. He was extremely knowledgeable about Lancaster and the Amish community. Tour included a short city walk which was very interesting (a lot of history in the city I was not aware of) and then a van tour out to the Amish farm area. No Busses or commercialized tourist traps on this trip which I feel made it a truly authentic look at the Amish. I would highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed.

The tour is (usually?) done by Phil, the owner of the business. His personal connections to the cultures (grandparents were Amish, the rest of his family is Mennonite), strong commitment to the area, and superb communication skills make for a remarkable tour. His breadth of knowledge about Lancaster's history and current environment, his enthusiasm to show you the unique features of the community could turn you into a breathless promoter for the town. The creamery visit and the chat with the farm owners makes for a total experience. Highly recommend!
