Overview

This course gives you a real scuba diving experience during which you will go out on the dive boat and do 2 dives on our beautiful coral reefs with one of our instructors. You will see uncountable varieties of colorful fish and possibly nurse sharks, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, goliath groupers and barracudas. We have no dangerous animals on our reefs, so you can relax and enjoy!

The price of this full day adventure includes everything you need for the experience (academics, rental gear, pool training, instructor for the whole day), and at the end of the day your souvenir certificate. All you need is a swimsuit and a towel.

Please note that you must be able to swim in order to learn how to scuba dive. You must also be in excellent health.

My husband and I decided to bring our children ranging in age 16 to 31 to Key Largo for some SCUBA diving over the Christmas break. We were all at different levels so had different needs. My husband and I dive often and wanted to get at least 4 specialty classes, 2 children were certified and one Junior certified but had not dove in a few years so needed refreshers, one wanted to TRY SCUBA, and the last unable to dive wanted to snorkel. We were only in town for 4 days over Christmas and really only had 2-1/12 days to meet our objectives and so we could visit Key West one day too! We contacted SCUBA FUN and explained everything and they worked out an awesome schedule which met all of our objectives! They always answered questions/concerns quickly! SCUBA FUN went above and beyond our expectations and hopes! They worked with us to schedule classes and dives to meet all of our needs and then rearranged them within our time constraints after the weather caused us to miss diving one afternoon. The store staff and owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. The instructors took the time to make sure each person was prepared and ready to dive! Pool work is done only a short distance away in a beautiful town pool. During the dives, the instructors Dan W, Dan L and Tanya were AWESOME, telling us Tales of the wreck sites, pointing out fish and giving us the grand tour! OUR CHILDREN LOVED THEM as did my husband & I. We had complete confidence and did not worry about the safety of 5 children in the ocean without us near them! My husband and I have our own equipment while the children used the rentals. The gear was all in great shape and maintained very well. They even kept our equipment over night, washed it and dried it for us!!! SCORE! :-) SCUBA FUN does not have their own boats so they took us out with Rainbow Reef one day and Horizon Divers another. This was not an issue at all. In fact I must say we preferred being in our own small group with our "private" instructors/guides. As an added note, both dive boats and the crew were awesome too. Very helpful and professional. After the dives, we took care of all the paperwork and log books before saying our goodbyes. Within a few days we got an email with links to photos they took from each dive session.... free to download for our use! This was unexpected and wonderful!! To sum it up, we had a complicated objective with a very short time line. SCUBA PRO handled everything in a very professional and friendly matter. There are dozens of SCUBA outfits in the Keys to choose from. you can NOT go wrong with SCUBA FUN. We come to the Keys regularly and will ALWAYS come to SCUBA PRO when we are in Key Largo! We took a Resort Dive with our 10 year old daughter. The entire crew @ScubaFun was EXCELLENT and the training and dives went off without a hitch. Our dive master was wonderful with our entire group (four of us), and kept our youngest at ease, even 25 feet below the surface of the ocean!

As fairly new to the world of diving, I went on a dive with Scuba Fun during a stay in Key Largo. It was a great experience - everything from first contact, booking, information package, briefing, dive and some follow up conversations went extremely well. The gear was relatively new and well maintained and the guide Tanya was paying attention to all participants and ensuring that all participants received the right instructions based on their skills and experience - not too much and not too little. Just right. Hence, you felt very safe, which was great since I only recently received my certificate. I will give by absolutely best recommendations to Scuba Fun and I cannot wait to get back into the waters of Key Largo.
