Underground Donut Tour - Boston Historic Downtown Tour

Overview

Our tour begins in the Financial District at Kane’s Donuts where we’ll sample several of their daily flavors. After which, we’ll take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront on our way over to Boston’s Public Market. While there, we’ll try some delicious donuts and apple cider. You’ll also learn some history around the market and have a moment to check out other vendors. On to our third stop, we’ll walk through Boston’s North End or “Little Italy” neighborhood - one of the oldest neighborhoods in Boston. In the North End, we’ll stop at one of the oldest bakeries in the neighborhood. We’ll have a uniquely Boston treat while we’re here. Lastly, we’ll walk back through the North End to end our tour back at the Public Market where we’ll finish with Union Square Donuts. We’re so excited to share this experience and the amazing donuts of Boston. We are still finalizing dates and times for the tour and will post those soon. We hope you can join us very soon!

We only require masks to enter any of the donut shops, assuming they are still enforcing customers to have masks. This policy may change over time as mask restrictions are lifted.

What To Expect

Boston Public Market

While at the Boston Market, guests will be able to see numerous different food vendors and various shops that are local to Boston. We'll also be able to try apple cider donuts and cider from a local donut maker.

North End

Boston's North End or sometimes called "Little Italy" is one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods. We'll walk through this neighborhood on our way to our 3rd stop on the tour. Along the way, we'll talk about the history of the neighborhood and answer any questions regarding the various businesses along the way.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Great tour!! Make sure you bring a doggie bag. We were stuffed and still wanting more. A great way to see Boston and chow down on wonderful treats. Will definitely recommend!!

When I read a list of possible Boston activities to my kids, this was their first choice and we were all very pleased with the adventure! Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable, I would eagerly take another tour led by them. We enjoyed tasty donuts from four local shops, and learned the stories behind those shops & Boston's donut tradition, as well as some general Boston history. By the last shop, we hit a bit of a "sugar wall" but no worries - we were able to take the last round of donuts back to our hotel to enjoy later. I highly recommend this tour!

We did not get to experience the tour. A couple of days before our trip it was canceled with no explanation.
