We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. At each location, you'll be able to try a curated sample or samples of that location's best donuts. Many locations offer vegan, gluten or nut free options, however, please make sure to let us know ahead of the tour, so we can make sure to highlight those specifically for you. Our tours include such favorites as Do-Rite Donuts, Firecakes, Stans, and Doughnut Vault.

What To Expect

The Loop

The Underground Donut Tour takes place over two hours. We'll visit four of the best donut stores in the city. All of them are located in the Chicago Loop area and we'll try a few donuts from each location. Donuts are included in the cost of the tour. You'll also have the option to purchase additional donuts if you wish.

My 12 year old found this activity for us to do during our spring break staycation. It was so much fun. I took my two sons, 12 & 8. We walked between 4 donuts shops -- Do-Rite, Donut Vault, Firecake, and Stan's. I was skeptical because I am gluten-free and my son has a nut allergy. But they were super accommodating. Our tour guide, Jackson, was a riot. He told is funny stories about Chicago as we walked between donut shops. It was super cold but found a warm starbucks for us to warm up in. Each stop offered a selection of donuts so you got a good selection. Definitely worth the money.

Took the tour with Jackson. Went with a 17 year old boy and even he had enough to eat! A colorful variety of donut styles was offered along with the history of each of the shops. Jackson was friendly and knowledgeable about both the donuts and the city. A fun twist on a typical city tour.

Fun tour. About 2 mile easy walk to 4 donut places that were YUMMY! Guides were knowledgeable about the city and easy going. Great for all ages.
