I had a fun time going around the farms, learning about the horses, and their owners. The tour guide Shawn had a great sense of humor, and he was really good at describing why the horses values are what they are. Overall, had a great time. I would recommend if you are in Lexington.

Shaun Washington made our tour very entertaining, with his knowledge of the horse farms & breeding industry. He drove us to several beautiful horse farms where he introduced us to the owner of the KatieRich farm. We visited several barns there, where all the workers knew Shaun & were very happy to visit w/ him & us. They were exercising, grooming & bathing some of the horse hooves. We met Michelle the barn manager, she was very friendly & knowledgeable of the breeding lines & taking care of the horses. We saw several horses w/ pregnant mares & young foals. Shaun gave us peppermints to feed to the mares. I joked w/ him about them being bad for there teeth, since I'm a Dental Hygienist. He replied w/ the horses & their Dentists love me!! The horses did enjoy the peppermints!! He also took us to visit where Seattle Slew was buried was happy to take a photo of my husband & I next to the statue of him. The barn there was absolutely a gorgeous brick facility. Curlin was running in the field there too. It was a beautiful farm! I would definitely recommend this tour if your in Lexington, KY. He does different farms & keeps it interesting. We will definitely take this tour again, when we return to Lexington!
