I was looking for a horse farm tour since I have a horse obsessed child and after reading reviews on trip advisor I had to go with this one - only 4 and 5 star reviews for this tour and I now know why. Sean Washington is a fabulous guide. You are picked up and taken around in a comfortable van. Sean tells you everything you need to know and he knows it all. Me, my husband and daughter were the only ones on our tour so he mixed it up a little and took great care of us including dropping us off to do a tour at a horse vet facility after we were done with his tour. My daughter was thrilled to meet so many sweet moms and babies along the way including offspring from American Pharaoh and California Chrome. The horses were very friendly and seemed to enjoy being pet. You cant go wrong with this tour!

My parents and I had a WONDERFUL time on this tour!! One of the highlights of our vacation! Besides seeing horse farms up close, we got to feed and pet many horses - young and old. There were kids on our tour and they loved it as so did we the adults. We were never rushed at any stop. Our guide SEAN WASHINGTON was EXCELLENT!! He was very informative, Iā€™ve never met somebody that informed on horses and racing. He always had facts, exciting stories, and answered all our questions. He was also one of the most courteous and polite guides Iā€™ve ever had. He was entertaining and made sure we all had a good time - we even stopped somewhere for ice cream before we went back to hotel. He even took us to a facility where horses swim - we saw 2 young horses swim for their first time and got to meet the owner of the facility. When you go on his tour - if he doesnā€™t mention it, ask him about the race horse named after him , itā€™s a cute story. This tour was well worth the money and you will have fun!!!

Shaun is an insider's insider who has an amazing knowledge of the horses and people who own, breed, train, and care for them. The same can be said for his knowledge and contacts for the bluegrass and other areas of Kentucky and famous people with ties to Kentucky. He went far beyond what we expected on a Sunday tour with our daughter, son in law and four grandchildren. Anyone would enjoy these tours, even if you have lived in central Kentucky for years. Do not miss this tour!
