My husband and I did this tour as part of a little weekend getaway. Sean was very informative and was entertaining at the same time. We saw lots of babies (spring and early summer are perfect as it's foaling season. There were several kids on our tour so he made sure to visit a farm where they could feed and pet some rescue animals. We saw some stallions from a distance and the amazing "barn" they live in. He then took us to see the equine pool and we got to see a horse take her laps. Fun time.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon touring Lexington horse farms with Unique Tours. Shaun was informative, entertaining, and just plain fun! His knowledge of the horse industry was impressive! Shaun was certainly well versed in Kentucky horse facts and trivia. If you get the chance to take Shaun's tour, jump on it. He's a true southern gentleman with a twist of fun and sass;)

If you spend the time to visit a few of the thoroughbred farms, you must allow time for the UNIQUE tour. The tour shows you a lot of the behind-the-scenes activities (e.g. the equine surgery center, pool therapy area) as well as some of the top foals and yearlings. It fills in the gaps and makes it all a complete visit of the industry. Our guide, Sean Washington, is one of the most knowledgeable thoroughbred horse people we met during the week. He has great stories and anecdotes and made the tour a lot of fun.
