What a FANTASTIC tour. Sean is personable and made the tour interesting and fun. Sean is a wealth of knowledge and information in all aspects of his tour keeping everyone on board waiting to hear what he had to say next. Such magnificent horses. Merci Sean . see you again.

We were on a small tour today with Shaun, 6 adults and 1 very young man. Shaun made the tour extra special for each individual on the trip. He is so knowledgeable of the horse farms in Lexington, horse racing stats, and so many interesting tidbits of information that he shares to made the day extra special. There is a review also from Nov 2016, by Margaret, and she is exactly right. He even arranged for the little man to sit atop a horse and get his picture taken. You can't go wrong with this tour and Shaun. He works very hard at making each tour special for every one. Thanks for a great day with the horses. Exactly what we wanted. Up close and personal. I don't think I know enough superlatives to describe the fantastic experience we had with Shaun (sp.?) , the owner/operator of UNIQUE Horse Farm Tours!! First of all, there were just TWO of us for that particular tour time and yet---no call from Shaun to cancel and rebook. As a matter of fact, he told us that if only ONE person had booked that tour time, he'd still have accommodated that preference, and I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he would. Only one of many ways that this company/tour is UNIQUE. Secondly, Shaun also has a positively encyclopedic knowledge of and familiarity with all things related to thoroughbred horses and racing. Even better, he has lots of interesting stories that only someone who has long been 'close to the action' could know---and every one is told in a thoroughly entertaining and engaging way. At the actual horse farms, it was obvious that Shawn was well-liked--and that was true of both farm personnel AND the thoroughbreds! Shawn knows them all by name (both staff and horses!) and we watched as more than one came from the far end of a paddock towards him as he called them (horses, that is, NOT staff ! ;) As if this all wasn't enough, Shawn added one more new (to us) experience to our tour. In chatting about various area eateries (and BTW, if Shawn offers you any suggestions--LISTEN!), he asked us--a couple of Canadians--if we'd ever eaten corn pudding, a very Southern delicacy. When he heard that we hadn't, on-the-spot, he decided that we had to! With that, he took us to a great little local spot (where he was, of course, well-known and received) to try to "score some corn pudding" for us! And sure enough, he did! (It was delectable, BTW! :) If you're in the Lexington are and looking for a marvelous and truly UNIQUE Kentucky Bluegrass experience, you must, must, MUST add the warm, wonderful and utterly delightful Shawn and his equally delightful UNIQUE Horse Farm Tour to your itinerary! TEN stars out of FIVE!!
