This was a wonderful 3 hour drive through the countryside with stops at selected farms along the way. We visited WinStar Farms where we were able to see the winner of the 2010 Kentucky Derby and a participant of the 2015 Derby. American Pharoah and descendants of some other famous horses reside here. At the Katierich Farms we were able to visit mares and foals and saw some of the descendants of Alydar. Our visit coincided with an auction at Keeneland so we stopped by to watch some of the bidding. Sean, our tour guide, made this a great tour. His is very knowledgeable of horses. farms and lineages as well as interesting anecdotes relating to these horses.

We enjoyed our tour ot Winstar and KatieRich Farms with Shawn; he is a delightfulo host and treated us to many amusing stories. Loved seeing American Pharaoh's sire Pioneer of the Nile. Many thank!

Shawn made us all feel comfortable in the tour bus and knows all the inside information. When we arrived at the first barn, Shawn's booming voice called the horses in the field over to the fence and they always came. Don't miss this tour.
