Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Our family had an awesome time on our first ever white water rafting trip, the staff did an outstanding job organizing our visit. Ziggy gave a great safety briefing,and our rafting/river guide Ian did an outstanding job getting us safely down the river, while having a ton of fun! The rafting trip was the highlight of our vacation to the Smokys, we will definitely be back to visit SMO!!!

Great family rafting experience. Have 2 children with the youngest being 8 years old. We initially signed up for the lower river experience online but the friendly and informative employee that we talked to on the phone after booking talked us out of it and steered us to the upper rafting trip. We are so grateful she did. The entire family had a wonderful time. Starting from the initial phone call, to the bus ride to get to the rafting launch point (Ziggy rocked the bus ride with his pre-rafting safety talk and set the tone for the day), to the actually rafting, Smoky Mountain Outdoors crushed it. Judo our raft guide was exceptional. His skill at handling the raft, including purposely getting the kids extra wet added to our great time. He was knowledgeable about the river’s ecosystem and had an easy going and funny personality. If you want an exceptional white water rafting that is fun and exciting, do not hesitate and book today

It was my favorite day of our vacation. It was a great experience for the very beginning. Once we got there it was no time that we were on the bus and a short ride up to the river. Once in the water our Guide Eli was very knowledgeable and made the trip down the river a lot of fun. Highly recommended
