Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Our family had so much fun! We rode the 3 and 4 controlled release rapids and even took my 78 year old mother-in-law along for the ride (Everyone stayed in the raft). The rapids were perfect. The river and the surrounding scenery was so beautiful. We will definitely do this trip again if we ever return to Pigeon Forge for vacation. Two thumbs up to our guide Nathan!

We went white water rafting with Smoky Moutain Outdoors. Nala was our guide and she was GREAT and WONDERFUL. She was very knowledgeable on where to guide the raft missing huge rocks etc. and telling us when and how to paddle. Their were 4 in our party and another couple in the raft with us. We laughed and talked the whole time. We had He BEST time and will definitely return!! Please tip her!!

This was our second time visiting the Smoky mountains outdoors for our rafting experience. The first time was June of 2018 our guide was extremely professional, helped us through some tough rapids and overall was a great experience. (1st photo 1st experience) However, this trip is one for the books due to the lack of rain the water level was significantly lower. Our team often was not in sync but still was fun. Roughly halfway through our adventure we happen to get stuck on a rock 😂. The moment of impact from hitting this rock slung us to the right and we almost completely went over. Thanks to the quick thinking of our guide Boomer, he had everyone in the front of the raft move to the back to lay on one another and give us enough leverage to get turned around. Thanks to my boyfriend, Boomer, and a quick suggestions from me to move more to the left, we were finally able to get loose and carry on with the trip. Although, this sounds terrifying this being the second time I knew even if we went over they would help us back up and this made it an amazing experience. I've made several recommendations to friends, and I suggest to you all if you've ever wanted to try rafting while on your visit to the Smokey's. Make sure to see this company because they're the best. Great promotional deals going on always too, and partners with Climbworks (Ziplining) if you want a combo deal.
