Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

My family took the Upper Pigeon River Rafting Trip and had an AWESOME experience. The folks at Smokey Mountain Outdoors were great and our guide Pivey was awesome. All the guides were concerned most and foremost for our safety....but they also wanted us to have a great experience. The Pigeon River is a great river for whitewater rafting, so you should schedule your next experience with the outfit at Smokey Mountain Outdoors...they will not disappoint you!! Smokey Mountain Outdoors....A++++.

All of us were first-time rafters but Chris (our guide) made everything easy and confident. By far the best of all the activities/adventures my family did on our trip, and will do again without a doubt.

I was nervous about rafting the upper, as the river was running a little faster than usual. But our guide, Brother Nature (Paul) guided us safely through with humor. Got wet, but the water felt great and the scenery was awesome. Enjoyed the company of our raft mates as well. Awesome and efficient operation!
