Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

We recently took the Upper Pigeon River whitewater rafting trip. It was my granddaughter's first ever trip. Our guide, Austin, was very knowledgeable about the river and made the entire trip fun for all. We had a blast and it was the highlight of our trip to TN. I can't wait to go back again next year. I highly recommend this trip to all. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

We were blessed with the most experienced guide of them all... "Rev" Dean! He was friendly, professional and gave us a great and safe ride! We were the "Wild Woolies" under his lead. Dean showed his years of experience by taking us on the rapids safely, but with a lot of fun (went backwards on one rapid and spun us around for another!). My family of 4 were novices, but he made us feel like seasoned riders. Dean was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. It was great having him lead us on and safely guide us through some terrific and wild rides over the rapids! Request him if you can, you won't be sorry!

Rafting the upper Pigeon River is a must for some family fun! The cost is very reasonable for a six mile tour, which includes beautiful scenery, 4 or 5 class 4 rapids, and I cannot forget the "surfing" on one of the rapids. Our guide was wonderful and very experienced, everyone felt at ease with Josh! There is about a 15 minute bus ride where you will be given instructions on the do's and don'ts, the guide made it funny, but it was important information - pay attention. Do not bring a phone or camera, wear water shoes or old tennis shoes. If you have to wear prescription glasses or sunglasses, I highly suggest purchasing or bringing a strap to connect to your glasses to keep them secure.
