Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Our guide Kyle was great. He kept us entertained and informed. He also made sure we "hit" the rapids for maximum fun! If you like being on the water, this is a MUST DO activity while you are in the Smoky Mountains.

This was an incredible trip--the people at SMO were great and our guide, Bart, was the best. He was super laid-back but engaging and a lot fun. A highlight was when a bald eagle swooped over our boat--what a treat! Definitely a do-again the next time we are in the area! Thanks, SMO!

So glad you got to see some of our wonderful wildlife. Bald eagles, heron, elk, turtles, fish, otters, beavers, and the occasional black bear are some of the animals we catch glimpses of along the river. Come back and see us next time you are in the area!

This was a lot of fun, and our guide Christian was awesome. There were 6 of us on the trip, including my in laws who are both in their 80's. Christian was super helpful and patient, and we had a great time. I would highly recommend this company, and you'll be happy if you get Christian as your guide!
