$4 to park, $15 to get in, interesting seeing how they lived on the ship and how small everything is, getting a bit old just due to age of ship. Aircraft next door and sub is just as interesting. Unless you can get around on your feet well, do not go, spaces and stairs are very small. I think only older children 14+ can appreciate what these guys went through on ship.

Have quietly with my son visited numerous great ships from WW2 around the country as travel/work schedule permits. We overnighted in Spanish Fort/Daphne in order to tour the USS Alabama on Monday am. The ship is impressive and bristles with firepower everywhere, every inch well used to defend herself, her crew, and take the fight to the enemy. There are three basic tour routes thru the ship plus eight levels to tour. Walking main levels was okay but a lot of stairs so season/senior citizens be advised. Enjoy the semi space on Alabama, as touring the USS Drum really makes you appreciate those who served in the silent service of the US Navy. If claustrophic be advised, may not be for you.. hanger area okay but if you wanna see a lot of naval ac travel further on I-10 and go to US Naval Air museum in Pensacola...
