Definitely worth the visit and kids love it! So interesting to see how the men lived in the tight quarters of this vessel. For the best visit, you need to be able to go up and down the metal stairs of the ship. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Buy the tickets in the gift shop before boarding the boat. There are more things to see in the park, so take those in as well... Best Thing To Do: Thank a military vet for their service while you are there!

We had been told to not miss a tour of the USS Alabama and the submarine Drum and I am so glad we took it. Walking around the USS Alabama gave us an idea of what it must have been like to have served on that ship during the war. It also gave us a feeling of pride knowing this was one of the ships that fought for our freedom. Well with the admission fee.
