I wanted to visit the USS Alabama ever since I found out it was used as a stand-in for the USS Missouri in the movie "Under Siege". Turns out that the submarine USS Drum, also at battleship park, was used to portray a Korean sub in that movie too. The park features a plethora of additional, historical military equipment including a B-52 bomber and an SR-71 Blackbird. There are various tour routes of the battleship available. My wife and I chose the most-arduous, a self-guided 3 hour adventure that took us all the way from the bottom to the very top and the front to the back of the vessel (obviously I was not in the Navy!). Unfortunately we did the tour on July 4th in 98 degree Mobile heat. My wife went into air conditioning while I did the sub alone. Be prepared for some serious exercise. The ladders are steep - ladies, wear shorts or slacks for modesty's sake - and only about half of the ship is cooled. However, this park is probably the most-comprehensive I have ever visited and, as a WWII kid, that says a lot!

Driving into the park one notice a wonderful collection of aircraft and a large battle ship looming in the background. Way too many crafts both inside and outside to describe. What a collection. Then there is also a submarine to walk through, other than the Big Ship.
