We were able to get in and out quickly and efficiently. The friendly girl that was forced to handle the opening crush all by herself was the model of patience as she tried to help a difficult and self-centered customer. The bikes were in good working condition and her directions to the Mount Vernon Trail were easy to follow.

We woke up to some crummy weather and called Bike and Roll who allowed us to reschedule for a couple days later with no fees. It was also really easy getting things switched around. Got text updates and e-mails with the new reservation. We took a self-guided bike ride from Alexandria to Mt. Vernon and it was such a blast. John (in Alexandria) was very friendly and helpful. We arranged to take the boat back, but had to catch a flight, so took a taxi to the airport instead, but it sounded like the boat tour is also a blast! Highly recommend these folks.

The bike trail was beautiful! However, the instructions about what to do with the bikes once we reached Mount Vernon was not clearly explained if you choose to do the River Cruise you must leave your bikes parkedlocked at the location - at least this is what we did...?. Also, the cruise was great but it felt a bit too long/dragged out after our day of cycling exploring Mount Vernon.
