What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

Great views, Samantha has no control over the weather but we were provided with views of red lava still in the dome and all the educational information about the area.

Great tour! Didn't get to see any erupting volcanoes ( both Mauna Loa and Kilauea had stopped erupting as of Saturday 10 Dec) but that didn't make the tour any less memorable! The pilot was great, he asked our group if we wanted to go up and see Mauna Loa and Kilauea or continue on the regular tour. We decided to go with the regular tour (going all the way to Mauna Loa would eat about half of our time and we chose seeing a few puffs of smoke wasn't worth it). I truly enjoyed it!
