What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

Sam is an excellent pilot and even better tour guide. She kept us very well informed regarding any protocols and provided a wealth of information about the land. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the excursion.

Beautiful tour. Wonderful people! Not a complicated checking/preflight process. Quick simple got the job done. All with a smile and friendly attitude. We came on cruise ship and Stephanie picked us up at the pier. So very helpful. Not having to find a taxi. And figure out where we needed to go. Sam was our pilot and very knowledgeable tour guide. We spent about an hour in the air. Was a great tour. Highly recommend flying with them. Truly when we left, it felt more like we were departing from our new found friends rather than just another tour.

Cookie did our preflight and is fun and thorough. We met our pilot, Sam, at the helicopter and got settled in with a great noise canceling headset and hand microphone. Sam flew us up to the Volcanoes in the park and was great about explaining the geology, history, flora, etc. She also would turn the helicopter so that both sides got equal viewing. The Kilauea crater had actively flowing lava. The helicopter is really the only way to get a good view. Then we flew over the forests to “Narnia” waterfalls and pools above Hilo. While flight was about 50 minutes and Cookie took our pictures at the end. Great fun,
