Atlantis Submarines Waikiki provides a breathtaking experience as guests see up close colorful marine life, vibrant artificial reefs created from sunken ships, airplane parts and other structures. It’s like scuba diving without getting wet!

Due to updated Coast Guard requirements, all guests and crew must wear masks while in enclosed spaces aboard all our vessels which include Atlantis Submarines. Atlantis Adventures will no longer require guests to show proof of vaccinations or negative Covid-19 tests at the time of check-in.

What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

It was amazing to see how clear the water was and all the fish around the corals that far down. The people giving our tour were very knowledgeable.

The boat ride out to the sub was peaceful. Once we were on the submarine, the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The windows were plenty big to see out of. We say a ray, multiple turtles, a shark, and plenty of other fish. The aircraft and boats that were sunk were incredibly cool to see.

This is one of the truly authentic and unique experiences on vacation. While not Hawaiian in theme, it's one of the best things I've done on O'ahu. You'll see interesting sights which include sunken ships and other artificial reefs with lots of sea life. What I appreciated most about this experience was that the tour guide didn't try to make up some story about how the ship or plane came to be underwater - he simply acknowledged its purchase and intent to create a reef for the submarine to then pass by. Finding the check-in spot can be difficult - it's near the beach within Hilton Hawaiian Village. Be sure to get there with sufficient time to park or walk. We walked from our Waikiki hotel about 1 mile away - 25 minutes one direction. There are restrooms, non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks available on the ferry shuttle (used going between shore and the submarine). There are no restrooms on the submarine and you must be able to walk up/down a ladder. I highly recommend this experience.
