What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

This was by far one of the more enjoyable things we did in Waikiki! An underwater tour in a submarine was more than I imagined. I will never scuba dive, and this allowed me to experience a dive! I highly recommend it for all ages.

We had paid for the premium sub but when checking in was told that the sub was out of commission due to loss of air conditioning, We were offered either a reschedule or reduced cost of the ticket. As we had other excursions, we got a reduced fare and went for an earlier ride. The sub was fine as was our view. We saw plenty of fish. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the fish. We also got to see sea turtles. Not sure what we missed with premium ship but was pleased with what we had.

I loved the very idea of being in an actual Sub, Rather than a glorified glass-bottomed boat. We dove to a depth of 110ft, saw aircraft and ship wrecks while getting their stories, plus witnessed a variety of sea life. Jason's humour and passion were evident in his presentation as we moved undersea. I enjoyed every bit of the tour.
