I have mixed feelings about the submarine. Very cool to be able to say I was in a submarine and went down 110'. Definitely something to do with smaller children. Once down on in the ocean, there is not much to see. Few tropical fish, and a turtle or two that live out there. Very disappointed in sea life. One can see more at a tropical fish store. So, I don't think the $$ spent is worth it, unless you want to say you got to ride in a submarine. The boat ride out to the sub is fun. You get to see Waikiki and Diamond Head from a different perspective.

If you have never done a submarine before I would do this. I have done another Atlantis Sub in Aruba and the sea life was amazing. Oahu lacks the sea life but still has enough to make it interesting. Staff were exceptionally good

Our excursion began with the crew warning those prone to motion sickness to buy some medicine available in their boat while on our way to the submarine. After we had all boarded and had been seated, we were asked to "scooch" down because there weren't enough seats to accommodate them. While doing so, one of the family member's passengers projectile vomited on our captain, on the walls and on the seats. Instead of escorting the passenger off the boat, the crew did a haphazard job of cleaning up and closed the hatch. Now that all the passengers were in the enclosed space, no less than four additional people puked as well although they were all able to use the vomit bags available around the boat to contain their bile and its smell. After what seemed like a rushed and shortened experience (understandably so), we were treated to another projectile vomit episode FROM THE SAME PASSENGER! This time it landed on the landing and ladder that half the boat needed to disembark. Instead of offering all passengers any type of gesture or reimbursement (partial refund, a voucher for a future ride, merchandise, ANYTHING), the family of the sick passenger was given free clothing (not sure what this cost) as well as free pictures (worth $45 to anyone else who wanted to purchase). The rest of us were left with nothing but nausea and much emptier pockets.
