Due to updated Coast Guard requirements, all guests and crew must wear masks while in enclosed spaces aboard all our vessels which include Atlantis Submarines. Atlantis Adventures will no longer require guests to show proof of vaccinations or negative Covid-19 tests at the time of check-in.

What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

Staff very upbeat and friendly. Good narration throughout submarine.tour. A bit disappointing that there were really so few amazing creatures and that it was non existent unless near the ship/ plane wrecks. Maybe early am better?? We went at 11am, noon when on sun. For the price I wanted to be wowed. My grand daughter has seen what we saw at the Aquarium. She got bored and she will be 6 next month, so not too young to enjoy. I also thought the time actually in the sun and the route quite short. We waited in lines longer than the experience.

Everything was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Could not see color of fish or sea turtles. Snorkeling or glass bottom boat boat is by far much better experience!

We're glad you enjoyed your overall experience of exploring 100 feet deep under the sea with us in one of our state-of-the-art submarines. It is true, at depths past 50 feet, a phenomenon called "color absorption" occurs. This means that fish and coral that would have bright colors near the surface take on a more dull hue, and often everything will appear blue. However, this is just a perk of getting to see the ocean at depths you wouldn't normally get to experience. What a fantastic experience this was, the water was crystal clear and there were so many kinds of fishes, sea turtles and sharks to see. We went to a depth of 106ft and the whole ride was smooth, relaxing and incredibly enjoyable.
