Atlantis Submarines Waikiki provides a breathtaking experience as guests see up close colorful marine life, vibrant artificial reefs created from sunken ships, airplane parts and other structures. It’s like scuba diving without getting wet!

Due to updated Coast Guard requirements, all guests and crew must wear masks while in enclosed spaces aboard all our vessels which include Atlantis Submarines. Atlantis Adventures will no longer require guests to show proof of vaccinations or negative Covid-19 tests at the time of check-in.

What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

I gave this a 4 star rating averaging the family together. I thought that it was more a 3 star based on the cost. But my 3 kids (12, 15, 18) and husband all enjoyed it. I felt like I saw a lot more fish, coral and had more fun snorkeling. But if you can't/don't like to to snorkel this is a fun activity. It is fun to ride the boat out and see a great view of Diamond Head and to watch the submarine surface and descend. And it is cool to say that you got to go down to 100 ft below the surface (definitely something I will never be able to do since I don't scuba). We did see some schools of fish. And I know that this is natural and wild open ocean so there are no guarantees but I was hoping to see some larger animals (shark, dolphin, turtle etc) but no luck this trip. The staff were all very nice. The boat and sub were clean and well maintained. And even though Waikiki is crazy crowded it wasn't hard to get a reservation the day before. The guy next to me on the sub said he got a ticket about an hour before.

This was a very nice experience. The boat ride out and back from the submarine gave great views back at the island. The submarine ride itself was awesome, like being in the largest aquarium ever. The narrative was quite helpful and I swear the narrator was excited to see a white tipped shark sleeping as we were!

Loved the experience.The lady at checkin was rude and showed an attitude, but rest of the crew were pleasant. They took us 100 ft down and we were able to see many reefs(the ones they created),colorful fishes ,sharks and a green turtle.They provide hand sanitizers when you board both the boat and submarine.The photos were expensive.Highly recommend if you are not into snorkelling or not a swimmer and would like to see underwater fishes without getting wet.
