Brian was an excellent guide through a beautiful adventure.
Weather was definitely on our side. Although there was still mud, it had dried up for a few days. Brian had walking sticks for everyone in the group. Boy, did that help!
The rivers and falls were flowing enough to make the adventure awesome! I had never kayaked before and enjoyed it immensely. Brian kept us all together throughout the trip. Each muddy challenge he talked us through, section by section and entertained us with his stories. I would recommend this trip for anyone with a sense of adventure. Certainly one of the highlights of my trip!

We very much enjoyed this tour except we did not get to hike back to the falls as it had been raining a lot and the water that we had to cross to get to the falls was too high. Even though we were disappointed that we didn't get to take the hike I was glad they didn't put us in danger. If I come back it will be in April or May, we went in March and had way too much rain. My husband and I found the Pineapple Hut (check in point) easily, and met Rob, our guide. He was so personable and easy going. 12 more people joined us, and we got in the van to drive to the river. It was a cool, cloudy, windy, day. The previous days had been rainy, so Rob warned us about the trek being muddy. Everyone helped get the boats into the water, and we headed up river. It was a couple of miles. Rob pointed out various trees and gave us a history on some of the vegetation. After landing our kayaks, we headed into the "jungle". True to Rob's warnings, it was muddy. Very muddy! It was another mile or so, and slow going. I fell a couple of times, but we had been warned we would "get wet" excursion, and getting muddy was not a problem. Rob encouraged the group along the way, and forded a rushing stream while holding onto a rope. When we made it to the falls, Rob shared several different fruits from his own farm with us, and we were awed by the power of the falls. My husband even swam in the cold water. After a while we headed back to the kayak landing. The kayak ride home was longer, as we were against the wind. My husband and I are 67 years old, and we were able to handle the whole day with only a little bit of soreness the next day. I can't say enough about Rob, our guide. He made the adventure really fun!
