Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
We depart immediately after check-in so no late arrivals will be permitted

Participants must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately two miles through rocky, muddy and slippery terrain
Must wear shoes that are secure to your feet. No flip flops.
Please bring plenty of water.
Other recommended items to bring: swimsuits, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, snacks, and a towel.
Ziploc bags should be used for cell phones or cameras that are not waterproof
No alcohol

We chose Dukes because of great reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Bryan was our guide and he provided a great experience from talking about Kauai land marks as well as his touch with nature. Birds and ducks come right to Bryan and sat in his hand and take bird food right from him. The kayak was just long enough and relaxing before the hike. The 7:00 am kayak is best! Water is so calm and peaceful. Make sure to bring bug spray and water shoes, Tevas work great for this hike. The hike can be muddy and lots of mosquitos. This was by far our best adventure in this trip!

This was our favorite tour that we took in Hawaii!! Our tour guide (Makeala - (sp?)was outstanding! She was so knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming. We felt like we made a new friend that day. The scenery was something that you really could only experience from the locations that we were at. We saw wildlife without disturbing them, and the WATERFALL!!! OMG - This is a treasure that you just have to see to believe. I would give this a 10 if I could!!

It's a 7 mile journey all together. 4 miles of kayaking, 3 miles of hiking. The hike can get tricky due to tree roots and mud. Our kids enjoyed it, my wife turned out to be a kayaking pro and I ended up with a sore neck, shoulder and pectoral muscle. I rate this 3.5 out of 5 because it's pricey.
