What To Expect
1
The Happy Gnome
We'll meet in the parking lot of The Gnome Craft Pub and become oriented with the basics of Fitzgerald's kinetic life. From there, we'll make our way along the sidewalks of a collection of residential streets while seeing Fitzgerald's homes and hangouts. We'll pause in parks where Fitzgerald played, see his former school building as well as the private social club that he was never allowed to join. As you walk, you'll hear details about the author's boyhood in St. Paul plus his later adult life. Our private, 2-hour walking loop will return us back to the tour starting point.

Doug was an exceptionally friendly and helpful host. He gave us wonderful tips about what to see and do during our stay in the Twin Cities, for which we’re grateful. Be sure to start your trip with him in order to benefit from his knowledge. The tour itself was a pleasant walk through the lovely neighborhoods Fitzgerald haunted. The information was pretty basic (especially considering the cost) and the delivery unpracticed, presumably because it’s a new tour. I would recommend Doug’s other tour on Summit Ave’s Victorian homes instead, as he seemed more knowledgeable about that subject and knows the area well. The Fitzgerald tour should be more polished in a year or so.

David, it was my pleasure to guide you and Geoff and I’m happy that the dining and the what-to-do suggestions worked well. My goal is to help make sure your entire stay in the Twin Cities is memorable. Your perceptions about our tour together are spot-on; I appreciate your insight and feedback. Thanks again for engaging! Please look me up when you are next in Minnesota. Thank you.

Thank you, Paul! I enjoyed our adventure and hope you and Debbie are warm back in California after your surprisingly cool spring week in Minnesota. You saw it all during our day together – yesterday’s history plus today’s new history unfolding around us as we toured. Very memorable. Thank you!

Thank you, Jessica. Your group was both interested and interesting, with some great perceptions about F. Scott Fitzgerald's crazy life. I look forward to future tours with your organization's members, and that includes "Esther" the lovable dog that accompanied us.
