Join us on Kauai as we explore Hanalei, known for it's cascading waterfall's, breath taking beaches, and rich culinary history. The last commercial town before the legendary Napali coast, Hanalei a beautifully small and prosperous community. Our group will meet up at a local spot, where we'll get to know each other and begin sampling delicious food. We will be walking to select local favorites to try signature dishes. No better way to learn about the local foods than trying for yourself. Each of our vendors has selected and prepared special sevings for you. Come Hungry and leave full! Max is the best food tour guide I've ever had! He loves his community, is very connected to the people, land and sea, and wants his tour participants to have the best experience possible. Every stop on the tour was delicious and the portions were hearty--way bigger than any other tour I've been on. Come hungry! Our afternoon with Max was a highlight of our time in Hanalei. My advice is to book your tour at the BEGINNING of your visit so you can then follow up and eat at all the places he recommends. We made the mistake of doing the tour on our second to last day there, so we ran out of time to eat our way through Hanalei!! Max is incredibly attentive to each person on the tour, eager to answer questions and converse about whatever foodie topic we brought up. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks again, Max!

We had the best time with Max and at each stop we enjoyed the food as it kept getting better and better from the delicious ahi tacos, the scrumptious crispy chicken with the sweet, spicy sauce with just the right kick and then on to the selection of a smoothie or Acai bowl with fresh fruits and toppings - a refreshing treat! Dessert was too good to be true with a choice of homemade style chocolate bon bons. The passion fruit and Lilikoi pbj and rum bon bons were sooo good. Then Max surprised us with the last stop where we had a macnut creamy pie - so yummy! Max was the perfect host and gentleman. My sister has a walker and a difficult time walking, and he made sure to make it easy for her and chose areas to accomodate her and the 3 of us, and he even brought the food to us. He explained everything that was on the menu, and a little history of the local food vendors which was very interesting. Max also talked about the culture and the important sights of Kauai. He checked on us and made sure that we were all okay with the food, and everything. Very personable, friendly and accomodating, and made us all feel like ohana!! We will definitely recommend this food tour with Max for everyone passing through Kauai!!

Great experience! Got some island history from our guide too. Warning: the portions in Hawaii are way different than the food tour portions in the mainland! Come hungry!
