Join us on Kauai as we explore Hanalei, known for it's cascading waterfall's, breath taking beaches, and rich culinary history. The last commercial town before the legendary Napali coast, Hanalei a beautifully small and prosperous community. Our group will meet up at a local spot, where we'll get to know each other and begin sampling delicious food. We will be walking to select local favorites to try signature dishes. No better way to learn about the local foods than trying for yourself. Each of our vendors has selected and prepared special sevings for you. Come Hungry and leave full! Fabulous food tour combines tasty bites, culinary insider tips, and historic context. We’ve been on food tours all over the world and this was one of the best… both in terms of the quality of the food and the insights into the cuisine of the area and the people producing the food. Max is super knowledgeable and super connected to the community. We visited 6 different places with 4 savories and 2 desserts. We tried many specialties of Kauai. Max also offered tips on restaurants, cooking classes, and offered to be a resource as our vacation continued. We stopped back to try the chili chicken speciality he recommended. As one small indicator of who Max is, he spent the first 4 hours, before our tour, helping the Poke vendor carve up the fresh-off-the-boat tuna when the normal helper was unavailable. Max is connected and knows his stuff. This tour works for foodies and just lovers of tasty food. You won’t go wrong!

This is an excellent food tour combining history and culture of Kauai with delicious local food. Our host Max was engaging and gave us great recommendations on beaches ,activities and food. The food servings were large and filling. Would recommend doing this tour!

Great way to experience the cuisine of this quaint area. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the local culture, history, economy, and food scene. We explored fresh poké and sushi, fish tacos and chips, smoothies and açaí bowls, shave ice, and finished it with local chocolates. Delightful tour!
