We loved it. Our guide was good and he made the trip of the downtown area fun. Our smallest (5 yr old) didn't love it so much. Glad we took the shorter tour.

Downtown Boston is filled with amazing history and the tour did a good job in covering the items of interest in downtown historic Boston. Our tour guide appeared to be more interested in impressing us with her detailed knowledge and extensive understanding of the history of the area, than she was in conveying "the story" of downtown. The result is a talk with extensive details that lost most of the individuals on the tour. For example, to talk about the Boston Tea Party our tour guide started about 100 years before the actual event to give our group an understanding of the politics and challenges going on in Europe before the actual event. Although interesting, the actual Tea Party event was almost an after thought to the tour guide spending a very small amount of time on the actual event and its meaning, as compared to what it meant to the parliament of England and how the French Parliament also reacted to it. It would have been most helpful if there were some benches to sit along the way to listen to the guide. Standing for 1 1/2 hours was a bit much.

I suspect this review was based on a different tour since it referenced "standing for 1 1/2 hours". The tour we run is two hours and includes not just the Freedom Trail, but Back Bay and Beacon Hill as well.

Very Informative. Tour guide enjoyed his job and talked at an adult level but includes the kids and made history fun
