My husband along with another couple did the guided walking tour on the Freedom Trail. Our guide portrayed herself as Mercy Otis Warren. She was knowledgable and enthusiastic when explaining each stop. We went on a Saturday and the tour started at 11. It was crowded but worth it. The tour was the South end of the trail. At the time, I thought this walking tour did the entire trail but there are different portions that are offered at different locations. I was disappointed we didn’t get to stop at the Paul Revere House or the Old North Church. Lack of research on our part.

This is a good overall tour of Boston, but not really a revolutionary war history focused Freedom trail tour. If you want to dive into a lot of historical stories about our forefathers, pick a different tour. If you are looking for tour that covers some revolutionary war history and more recent Boston history, this is a great tour. Well organized and nice guide.

The tour was designed to be the best mix of history, architecture and culture of Boston with stories that relate to all. The Revolutionary War History is only a part of the picture. The tour includes some areas that were not even in existence at the time of the Revolution. I'm sorry you were expecting only Revolutionary War information.
