What To Expect

Empire Vacations Day Tours - New York

Departing from New York and heading south, pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland before arriving at Washington DC's Capitol Hill. Here, your tour will start with a stop at Arlington Cemetery to visit JFK's gravesite. Next, head further into Washington to see the Capitol, Senate, and White House, the heart of the US government. Your tour then continues to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum before visiting the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean Memorials for exploration and pictures. Late in the afternoon, you'll embark on a panoramic city tour before departing Washington for an early-evening arrival back in New York City. Please Note: This tour is scheduled to stop in front of the White House, Capitol, and Senate for commentary and photo ops. However, please note that sometimes this is not possible due to security issues. In the event of this occurring, your tour will be adjusted accordingly.

Arlington National Cemetery

Veterans of every American war from the Revolution to the country's most recent conflicts are buried at Arlington, which was officially declared a military cemetery in 1864. Among the more than 260,000 dead are three unidentified service members, buried at the Tomb of the Unknowns, and John F. Kennedy, whose gravesite is marked by an eternal flame. National Air and Space Museum

The most popular of the Smithsonian museums features the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer and Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis. TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR RENOVATION - WE WILL RETURN TO AIR AND SPACE AS SOON AS IT RE-OPENS IN THE MEANTIME WE GO TO THE SMITHSONIAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY.

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

We visit the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and visit the extremely popular "Deep Time" exhibit full of real dinosaur fossils including the T-REX and Triceratops. THIS MUSEUM IS A TEMPORARY ATTRACTION WHILE THE AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM IS CLOSED.

I strongly recommend this 1-day trip..you get to see everything and more. The guides were very nice and very knowledgeable. They made the trip fun and interesting. This trip is worth every penny. I would do it again with this company.

The trip was well organised but I was not too happy with the itinery. Madame Tussard I can see at home and is not intrinsic to Washington for British visitors. I preferred seeing the aerospace exhibit in Cape Canaveral to the one in the Smithsonian. I would have rather seen more of the other museums, and not to have had to eat at a MacDonalds as it was the only place offered for eating other than the service stations. Also, the guide did his job. If you wanted more information you were instructed to approach him with your questions. To be told how much you were expected to tip was rather insulting and I would rather pay more for the trip and not have to tip.

it was an amazing travel cause you can most iconic monuments at Washington, I recommend that you chose for the 2 days travel to have more time to take pictures and enjoy more in each stop. Luis ( our tour person ) was amazing and incredible, also the 2 drivers, BUT be careful with the other tour guy which name is ALAN who made ( French ) interpretation, he is like 2 mts high, in my travel he move my daughter seat back cause he cant fit on the regular seat, just imagine that you travel 4 hours on a bus with your seat back like when you gona land on an airplane.!!!!!!!! well this guy all the travel from NY to WDC were sleepy, he use the seat as a bed and snore all the time, so I move my daughter to other seat available. When we return to NY, he move to other seat and try to make the same with my wife ( move her seat back ) and in that moment I get angry because my wife is pregnant and he move to the front of the bus, take the microphone and tell to all of us that dont move back our seat back to not disturb the others, in that moment all the passengers get angry and I stand from my seat and go infront to say that he was wrong with that decision in that moment Luis get control and said to this guy that he was wrong. Thats the unique bad issue that we have, Viator must review Alans behavior.
