We had a great day although it was a long day. Saw a glimpse of Washington which was good. Drivers and guide were excellent. The most annoying thing on the trip were the monks that spoke so loudly on their phones continually all the way there and back, no consideration for fellow passengers.
The tour started late and was fairly disorganised at the start. On the bus trip to Washington the guide would advise a photo op almost as we were passing the scene giving limited op to take a photo. The Madame Toussard's tour was a waste of time and there was another group there which made moving through the exhibits slow and everyone wanted to have their picture taken with a "celebrity" which slowed things down further. Time could have been better spent going thru the Natural History Museum or another site. I thought the guides' knowledge of Washington was limited or distorted as some of the "facts" given were not correct or given as a half joke but if you had not been there before could have been taken as true. Also some questions were responded to in a joking manner by the guide and did not answer the question which made me think he did not know the answer. He could have given more info on the drive there (if he had the knowledge). The group was probably too big to control and a smaller group with a more personable tour guide able to control and give more info would have been better. We were late getting back to New York because of the late start and being late leaving at almost every stop.
The tour was very informative, being the memorial long weekend would have loved to spend extra time. The Tour guide was a wealth of knowledge but unfortunately did not have a personality.
