Commentary in favour of Spanish as very few English on coach but glad we went
Thought the trip started about half an hour late, the tour guide (an Italian women, never got her name :~)..more than made up for the early morning frustration. We covered everything that was part of the itinerary, the monuments, a museum, madam tussauds, on time with no hassles. The drive to and back to NY was smooth though the weather was cloudy but did mess up the trip, luckily. Overall, it was worth the money, however I felt at the end that D.C needs more time than a day, to really see it well, probably 3 days should make a wholehearted experience.
Unfortunately the trip that we booked to Washington was very dissappointing. The tour guide spoke mainly in Spanish and a little English. The tour was very quick and he dropped us off at Madam Tausauds without specifying a time and actually left us in the wax works with a contact number or notice of where the group was going afterwards. It was only by sheer detective work we managed to find the group in a museum that was not on the list to visit. So all in all (our day that we had been looking forward to) was wasted and very stressful with the thought we would be stranded in Washington. The tour guide was not apologetic!!!!
