What To Expect

Hungry Horse Reservoir

Walk across Hungry Horse Dam and enjoy sights of the gorgeous Hungry Horse Reservoir. Your guide will provide in-depth knowledge of the dam, it's completion, and the town of Hungry Horse.

West Glacier

Stop at the iconic Glacier National Park sign for a photo op prior to entering the park.

Lake McDonald

Drive up along the shores of Lake McDonald and stop at the Lake McDonald Lodge. Your guide is well versed in park history and tales of the bears in Glacier National Park. Take photos out on the dock of Lake McDonald and enjoy the scenery.

Apgar Visitor Center

Enjoy the historic area of Apgar Village. View the crystal clear waters of Lake McDonald, stroll around the area and learn about the history of the park. Admission is included upon purchase of your National Park Pass at the entry.

We just returned home from 4 days in Whitefish. The highlight of our trip was a seven hour driving tour with Whitefish Outfitters. Our guide Maddie did an amazing job. She was extremely knowledgeable and flexible with the schedule. We stopped at the Hungry Horse Dam, The Lodge at Lake McDonald, Apgar Village and Polebridge. Plus we stopped another 4 or 5 times for great views and photo ops. The day flew by! Thank you Maddie.

We were picked up by Phil our tour guide - just the two of us and Phil- a personal tour Phil was so pleasant , informative and took us all over the park. Fantastic weather and lots of photo stops. Good lunch at Polebridge ( huckleberry lemonade recommended by Phil) A wonderful day - thank you Phil.
