Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

It was a wonderful experience, from the noticeable care and love that goes into each horse, all gear. Silina, Fred and Nick were amazing guides. Their knowledge of Maui was spot on. The views were spectacular. I would most definitely recommend this horseback riding experience to all.- sincerely Oklahoma new friends💗

We loved every minute of our experience. The place, the people, the horses! All top-notch. Such a beautiful ride and our guide, Selena was excellent! I would highly recommend Maui Mountain Activities. I have ridden at 2 other places on Maui and this was by far the best around. Great scenery too. From Mountains to the sea, you get it all. Splurge for a private guide if you can.

Our guides Selina and Emma were very nice and helpful. The horses were gentle and easy to ride, and were assigned based on previous riding experience. They followed one another without needing much guidance from the rider. They trotted by themselves if they fell behind, which scared me at first, but later I found it to be quite enjoyable. The horses climbed up and down the mountain, which was quite some work for them. We saw two waterfalls from a distance (on a mountain) - a big one and a smaller one. We also walked down to the sea shore and saw beautiful ocean waves, rocks, and mountains. Our guides stopped the group at each of the scenic views, and helped individuals and families take pictures with their horses. At the end, we had the opportunity to canter (a faster-paced run). My daughters (10 and 12 years old) loved the canter. My horse gave me a canter for 5 to 6 yards too. That was a surprise to me! Emma helped me to slow him down. It was shocking to me but also exciting. Overall we enjoyed the tour very much. The only minor drawback was we had to wait from 8:15am to almost 9 for the shuttle to pick us up from the parking lot to the main ranch. The trip ended around noon. Well worth the money!
