Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

This was the highlight of our trip! The scenery was beautiful, the people were friendly and helpful, and the animals were very well cared for. I would highly recommend this to visitors with previous horseback riding experience, but they accommodate beginners, too. I just feel that this particular activity would be more appealing to those with experience who have been underwhelmed on other horseback riding excursions. Unlike most horseback riding experiences at tourist destinations, this one is more adventurous, including the opportunity to canter (run) if you want. I thought the staff did this very safely, though, by thoughtfully matching horse and rider; allowing short “practice” runs before the long one; coaching the riders on technique; and, of course, allowing you to skip it completely if you’re not comfortable. My husband and I had a great time and have already recommended this to others.

We had a fantastic time! They did everything they said and more; beautiful, well cared for trails, fantastic stopping spots with great photo ops which they took with our phones. They also asked us specifically about our skill level and matched us with appropriate horses. Our trail guides were careful as well as courteous. My wife and I highly recommend Maui Mountain Adventures!!

These folks are amazing! Went on a ride with my adult niece and nephew my nine-year-old niece my nine-year-old son and my seven-year-old daughter. These folks create an amazing empowering environment, my daughter had been shooken up by the first writing experience I took her on back home but the folks at Maui mountain activities you're so awesome and made her so comfortable but by the end of the ride she was confident enough to run the horse at the end of the ride.
