Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 10 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.

The views were amazing and the guides were excellent as well. I was surprised how much mountain and ocean view you see while riding. I would do this excursion again.

Amazing experience! Best trail ride we’ve ever done…the scenery was beautiful, especially riding by the ocean. The guides were wonderful! They were so personable and friendly, and made our trip extra special…they are there every step of the way to guide you…we even got to gallop for the first time! (Just a word of caution to travel with an suv if possible…the uphill dirt road to get to the ranch can be a challenge with a car). We highly recommend this place!

Where do I begin? This is a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The road to the ranch is somewhat dusty and treacherous, so prepare for that. Once there, the people working on the ranch greet you, their cats greet you, their hog greets you, etc. It is such a friendly and comfortable atmosphere there. They took notice of the differing riding levels among participants and paired us each with our own horse - I had only been on horseback once before, but have experience with extreme sports. I got to ride Junior and my wife rode Gold. The views were fantastic. At the end, we got a chance to gallop for about fifteen to twenty seconds. These horses are fast. It was one of the highlights of my trip and I feel much more confident on horseback now. Thanks to Chloe and Nick for being kind guides!
