Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

Fred and Saleana took very good care of us. I think they paired the horses very well with the riders capabilities. I hadn't galloped a horse in over 15 years and I almost turned down the opportunity but so glad I didn't. It was a highlight for me. Everyone was able to take it at their own pace which was great. The horses know their jobs but they are not without character as you see with so many trail horses. The terrain and scenery was amazing. Many hills and different chances to move a bit faster than the snail pace of most organized rides. It was the most beautiful and fun trail ride I have ever taken. If you're looking for the slow paced even terrain not so exciting ride then this is not your place. Expect fun and beauty at every turn with this ride.

With young children it is hard to find anything safe, cost efficient and fun to do anywhere let alone on Maui. We went to the Maui Ocean Center, Lahaina, Zip Lines and beaches during our stay. All of which left us feeling let down and lighter in the pockets. Then we went to Maui Mountain Activities. The whole process was so impressive it is hard to put into words. We were met with smiling faces at the parking area, then shuttled up to a remote private farm like location surrounded by lush tropical greenery. All the staff were professional, personable and down to earth giving all of us feel like we were talking to family we had not seen for a long time. When the driving and safety instructions were complete, we began what I can only be described as a magical experience. No worries. No technology needed. Just nature and family time. As a picture buff I couldn’t help but take a bunch of pictures. But hard as it is to believe, the pictures do not do the fresh air, sights and smells any justice. You just have to experience it. The lifetime of memories is truly priceless. My children have been asking to go back to see their “Uncle and Aunty on Maui” ever since we left. To this very day they keep their special “Lucky Horse Shoe” given to them by their bed. :) Five Stars and Many Thank Yous to you all there at Maui Mountain Activities.

This excursion was well worth the money in my eyes. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My only dispute is they advertised "on the beach" riding, which doesn't happen. But still made my trip.

I’m glad you had a nice ride with us but I think you may have misunderstood what the ride entails. We do NOT advertise on the “beach”. You ride along the coastline. On Maui horses are not allowed on the beach. We ride along the coastline where the land and water meet and ride alongside the ocean. We do not advertise riding on the beach
