Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

My daughter is a rather experienced horseback rider but the rest of us are not, especially my nine year old son. They have you put yourself in different categories of experience then put you with a horse that will work well with you. I was really impressed with how they handled my son. He had the least experience and was the youngest in our group so he was right up front with our tour guide pretty much holding on to his horse the whole time. All the guides were great. Very personable, always asking questions and telling us about the Island. They gave us recommendations for other things to do on the island as well. Very great experience.

We were a group of five beginner to intermediate riders and all had a wonderful time on the guided horseback tour in the morning. Our guides Matt and Chad were very personable and both had a lot of knowledge about the island and its history. Throughout the ride they would stop to take pictures of our group with beautiful scenery in the backdrop and always checked our saddles and stirrups to be sure everything was safe and secure. This definitely was a highlight of our trip and I would strongly recommend it!!

I hadn't planned on riding in Maui but I missed it from home and I'm so glad I did. This was amazing - the views were spectacular, the guides were kind and informative, the horses were extremely well taken care of and it was such a great morning. There was no rushing or feeling of pushing guests through, it honestly was a well-crafted experience. They took special care to watch over less confident riders while allowing the more experienced ones some more freedom to explore a little bit around the view points - not too far but we weren't babysat either. It was a great morning. 100% recommend.
