We traveled on the Cape may Whale watcher last weekend - and it turned out to be lots of promises with little delivery! While the trip was a Whale Watching trip, all the boat did was a circumnavigation of Cape may before depositing us at the Pier. We did see Dolphins as many were close to shore and in the route of the ship during its circumnavigation! As for Whales, they don't seek boat routes and wait to jump out of the water! Boats need to travel farther into the ocean to sight whales. Which was something the "Cape May whale watcher" was never going to do! They cover themselves rather well - legally - by promising to show "Marine Mammals" - so the sight of a few dolphins does that! As for Whale Watching - you are better off heading to Boston / Massachusetts (or) to any boat that goes to the Stellwagen Bank area. As for Cape way, the Dolphin trip is worth $15 - Don't even pay a dime more than that - irrespective of whatever promises may be made!

This year was our third trip with the Stewart familey and the dolphin watching boat. We really look forward and enjoy the boat ride looking for the dolphins and learning about the area of cape may. Captin steward dose a great job of of hanndeling the boat and the crew are wonderful. There knowledge and the info they share on the history of cape may and the dolphins are impressive. Highly recommend this for the whole familey. I would recommend to do the sunset cruise you will not be disappointed. Also note they offer hot dogs, pizza, and other snacks a long with soft drinks, and adult beverages. Every year we learn something new and we never bored.

This is my 2nd trip, the first time we went on the Dolphin Sunset cruise which was awesome and a great date night. We saw hundreds of dolphins which was really cool. As a result this year we thought we would upgrade and go on the 3 hr Whale Watching tour. Unfortunately we did not see any Whales. The boat ride was still beautiful and we did see tons of dolphins. The captain told great stories and the crew was professional. I would suggest bringing ur own water and snacks. There is food to purchase but it is not healthy. Pizza, hotdogs, Ice Cream not good for our 2 year old. We had more fun in the Sunset Cruise its only 2 hrs and there are always tons of dolphins.
