Wow! I am a resident of Kona and I have watched whales all over (Juneau Alaska, Stellwagan Bank off of Cape Cod, Mexico, and Maui...) and this was in the top three whale watches I've been on. First, the boat was clean. The naturalist was excellent (great job, Kim!) And did we see whales! We stayed with a mother and new calf and an escort male for awhile. The baby had to breathe a lot, so we had many sightings of this cute little whale. Suddenly tons of bottlenose dolphins (babies!!!) came out of no where and the baby whale started to play with them, slapping his tail and breaching, and acting like a dolphin! Wow! The dolphins were playing around the boat. Then more whales showed up. It was hard to know where to look. Amazing! This is not a typical whale watch, so we really lucked out. Still, we live here, and we've been seeing whales for weeks in this area (from shore) so the captain did know where to go. He was very respectful not to get too close to the animals, which I so appreciate. We were still close enough for great sightings all day long. We got free soft drinks and water (wish the guys had come around a time or two more, but that's my only suggestion for improvement). Seriously, we live here, and we talked to many people, and the majority said, "Body Glove." If you don't see any whales, you get to come back. And you get discounts on return trips. We are glad we chose them for this awesome Christmas present that my son gave us.He was so happy that we had a great time. They also do a sunset cruise and other trips, so check into their offerings. Thanks again, Body Glove! We will be back. Aloha!

Aloha jennkmac, What a wonderful and detailed review! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this for others to read! We hope everyone would be able to walk away with similar experiences, but I can see how unique and amazing your trip was! I find that having someone who lives here give an account of what they can expect on our cruise to be in depth. You have probably been on a lot of whale watches on the Big Island (as well as the others you have mentioned), so to be considered in the top three is truly high praise for us! We are glad that you were able to have such an amazing experience. I will go ahead and pass along your recommendation to see if we can have the crew make more rounds! Our goal is to create an amazing experience and our service has always been at the front of that! We hope to see you again soon! Mahalo, Derek Williams @ Body Glove Adventures

Just got of the Body Glove boat about an hour ago. We had an incredibly lucky excursion as it didn’t take too long to find some whales. We stayed with them for some time while they put on a show. Then...some bottle nosed dolphins decided to join in the fun and the calf appeared to be imitating the dolphins by breaching multiple times! It was spectacular! Kim was great with her knowledge of the whales. Entire crew was fabulous!

Aloha Travel4me2015, Thank you for joining us on the Whale Watching Tour! What an exciting opportunity that must have been! While we do guarantee whale watching, we could never count on dolphins joining and giving you guys a great show! Such a lucky find! And Kim does know her stuff! She does her best to provide in-depth knowledge about whales and makes sure everyone is attended to the best she can! We hope to see you when you are in Hawai'i again! I scheduled the whale watching excursion for myself, my daughter, and my three grandchildren ages 13, 12, and 6. Everyone had a very good time! Our captain was great, and the naturalist, Kim, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. We were fortunate enough to meet up with a whale who came up to breathe and ā€œwaveā€ with his flukes at least eight or ten times during the hour or so that we were hanging out near him. I recommend this tour.

Aloha Judith, Nothing beats a chance for a whale to come out and say hello once in a while. Or twice in awhile. Or eight times, as you got to experience! Such a lucky find for you and your family! Thank you for joining us for our whale watching tour! As we get deeper in the season, we are pleased that all of our marine friends are returning to the island for everyone to get a good look at! And Kim really knows her stuff! She makes sure to impart her knowledge to everyone she comes across and loves being able to have one on one opportunities. We hope you manage to come out with us again soon! Mahalo, Derek Williams @ Body Glove Adventures
