We were well communicated with regards to preparation. The tour was excellent and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The whale watching portion was extremely smooth and had great views.

The tour company said they hadn't been able to see whales for about 2 weeks when we first boarded, which worried us. To start off we sea lions napping on a bout. We then joined a large pod of dolphins who swam beside the boat and jumped out of the water. Then we saw 2 Bryde's whales, which normally don't come up to the West Coast US because the water is too cold so they were a very rare find. There were 2 males in an apparent courtship, jumping from the water, trying to impress a female we could not see. Our guides told us that they have never seen anything like it before. At the end of the tour, they offered professional pictures which was great because I was so distracted by the whales that I forgot to take photos. Such a great tour!
