Our group ranged from 17 to 77. The Captain could 'read' the glassy sea like a book and taught us how to discern a whale’s footprint! My granddaughter hung over the bow of the boat to touch the dolphins, and one became airborne across the bow and 'kissed' her with a fin! Watching the sea lions frolic with the pods of dolphins, and a cow and her calve swim by just beneath the surface were breath taking experiences! The maneuverability of the Luna Sea allowed us to quickly change course! The Captain was incredibly personable and knowledgeable; the vessel spotless and the entire excursion was AWESOME and PRICELESS!

We joined the whale watching excursion with our 7 years old. The trip was very interesting and we had a lot of fun. We saw few dolphins and at least 3 whales. We even followed one whale for quite some time. The captain also shared some facts about the whale. The boat was clean and not overcrowded. Enough sitting for everyone. They also have inside seating in case you need to stay warm. Tips: - Wear warm clothes. It was not bad but the wind can be very chilling. - Travel light so you can move around the boat easily. - They have hot drinks and snacks that you can purchased if needed. - Arrive early - traffic (from San Diego) could be bad
