We had a great time and were lucky enough to see humpback whales, bald eagles, seals and other wildlife!!!! Even though it was cold, wet, and rainy the staff made this the best experience possible!!! They're so incredibly knowledgeable and definitely strive to ensure you get your money worth!! We would highly recommend them!!!

I had the pleasure of going out with these guys a couple of weeks ago, and wow what an afternoon it was! Managed to come across two small groups of Transients, working together to kill a Stellar Sea lion. It was like something off of a David Attenborough documentary! The boat managed to get reasonably close, and we watched them for ages...it was a ruthless sight, but really represented nature and killer whales in the raw. The naturalists Erick and Clai on board we really friendly and offered blankets to those of us who wanted to sit up front on the boat. Erick was really inspiring and knowledgeable, and managed to answer all of my annoying whale and non-whale based questions (so thanks Erick!). On the way back we also saw a humpback and her calf, which was a complete surprise and wonderful sigh to have seen. The whole trip seemed to have changed my life a little bit, which was just what I needed, so thank you all. Also the photos you sent out were great! I will be back next year :)

We made a last minute decision as it was late in the season. Spent the night in Friday Harbor, a real pleasant town! I can't give enough praise to San Juan Safaris for how well they run their all aspects of their business. As soon as we left the harbor they knew exactly where to go to find whales. The scenery of water and islands was simply, remarkable. It was about a 1.5 hr ride to where the whales were located. During the trip SJF created a friendly relaxed and environment, they also provided marine mammal experts to educate the visitors. And then we saw the whales! We were blessed to witness a spectacle of nature with Orca's in the wild. Did I mention the clouds cleared and we also had a beautiful day! Day's don't get more perfect than that!
