A fantastic trip with an amazing staff. Our guides went out of their way to make sure that we saw whales. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly crew. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to San Juan Island!!

I visit San Juan Island nearly every summer and have gone on many amazing whale watches with San Juan Safaris--always fun and knowledgeable staff and great whale action! This summer I tried their new high speed boat--the Kestrel--what a blast! They gave us waterproof pants and a jacket to wear and then took us on an exciting wind-in-your-face tour that included watching whales, eagles, and seals. The high speed boat also allowed us to go around some islands I'd never been to which was an unexpected bonus. Today I went on my first fall whale watch trip. We went out on one of their larger boats which had indoor and outdoor seating--nice for the chilly October weather. I wasn't sure I'd see much this time of year...boy was I wrong! It might have been my best trip ever seeing humpback whales, killer whales, a colony of sea lions, bald eagles, seals, and harbor porpoises--so cool! Captain Mike and Eric were awesome!! I highly recommend this company--I've consistently had great trips with them.

Had a great time on our whale watch trip. Our naturalist was very knowledgable and our captain did a great job in finding orcas (transients), as well as Steller sea lions and harbor seals! I would highly recommend San Juan Safaris!
