Whiskey Walking Tour

Overview
Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Join this tour and discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the longest continuously produced whiskey in America. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, and all about the revival of craft spirits. Get 4 additional and generously poured samples of whiskey as well.
**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with tastings. Adults 21+ only; children + dogs are welcome to join; approx. 1 mile of walking
**Included: 3 solid whiskey samples / hot toddy, cider or mint tea on cold days / coupon for one free drink at the Wigle distillery / Minitature whiskey cocktail at end of tour.

So much fun and such unique history! Aaron's knowledge of whiskey, the history of Pittsburgh, and how the two are so intertwined was top notch. His humor, knowledge, and personality made this tour a wonderful experience for whiskey buffs, historians, or just anyone looking to get to know some Pittsburgh lingo. Dude is definitely not a jag. ;)

A super great walking tour! Our guide, Corrie, was really engaging and knowledgeable - she did a phenomenal job sharing some of the history of the city through the lens of liquor and whiskey. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Pittsburgh! My only issue with the tour is that the description of the "whiskey walking tour" is a bit misleading (or at least it was to me) - you will get a sip of whiskey before heading out, and a sip of whiskey at the very end, but the entire walking tour in the middle is just like any old walking tour. There's no stops or whiskey drinks along the way - this isn't a bad thing, but just isn't what I was expecting, and wanted to point it out to others.
